Presentation
The HED section² “Hydraulics for the Environment and Sustainable Development” aims to strengthen and extend research into environmental hydraulics applied to the management of coastal, estuarine, port, urban and river areas. Its main aims are to develop national and international research projects, to make French research on these topics more visible and attractive, particularly at international level, and to federate French research in line with the operational needs of project owners.
Priority will be given to national scientific activities around the section’s themes, including :
- A summer school organized every two years
- An annual meeting to present the activities/questions of each partner
- Seminars on specific advanced themes
- Setting up mini-projects involving at least two section members
